Yep, my wife is the champion. Between her homemaking responsibilities, she found 15 minutes to scratch out a bracket: the winning bracket that is.
Laura Wishall scored in the 97.8th percentile with her efforts, landing her the rank of 99,588. She rode the North Carolina Tar Heels to victory and Villanova’s key victories over Duke and Pittsburgh.
Chris Balsters, a friend and fellow basketballer from high school, nearly became the first Wishall March Madness repeat champion, coming in third place. Had the UConn Huskies knocked off Michigan State and then Carolina finished them off, he would have two trophies to display.
We had a record 42 participants spanning 9 states (Kentucky, Missouri, Minnesota, Texas, Kansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, North Carolina, Montana) from a variety of walks of life. Here are a few of the top five finishers from different arenas. Thanks for playing, and come back next year!
